Trainer/coach

Purpose/objective of the position:

• Plan and implement sport activities for children and adults in a vulnerable situation.

Generic Duties:

• Scheduling sport activities.
• Explaining the rules, core tactics
• Ensuring positive reinforcement.
• Assessing the level of training to be offered.
• Refereeing occasional sports matches.
• Encouraging safe sporting practices.

Required profile and experience:

• Proven experience in planning and implementing sport activities for groups of children;
• Proven experience in working with communities;
• Experience and/or willingness to work with vulnerable groups (refugee children, women and elderly, Roma community);
• Experience and/or willingness to work in cooperation with psychologists and social workers;
• Experience and/or willingness to work for a non-profit organization;
• Based in Chisinau and availability to travel;
• Languages: essential fluency in Romanian and Russian; desirable intermediate knowledge of English. Knowledge of Italian is considered a plus.

Person Specification:

Education and professional experience:

• Essential secondary education
• Desirable trainer/coach license
• Desirable experience in training
• Experience working with children
